With spring well on its way, we bet you can't wait to go shopping. Well, who can blame you? The new products styles are so spring-ilicious that they're going to be a great addition to your spring wardrobe.

Of course, before you go shopping, it's best to do some spring cleaning first. And with that, you'll need a notebook, a pencil or pen, and some large bags to put discarded items. A box will do too.

Now, if you're ready. Read on and find out about the nifty ways to organize your wardrobe and keeping it organized all throughout.

  1. Vision out the kind of wardrobe you want to build.

To do this, ask yourself the following questions: “What kind of lifestyle am I leading?” “What style do I prefer?” Ponder on these things and jot them down so you won't forget. This help you determine the kind of clothes you'll want to keep or to buy.

  1. Discard items that don't give you joy.

Once you've mentally visioned the kind of style you want to emulate, it's time to discard. Remove all clothes from your closet and put them in front of you.

Then take a good look at each of your items and feel it within you whether or  not a top or skirt sparks joy, or whether or not they complement your lifestyle.

If they don't, then decide whether to throw or donate them.

The reason for this is it's easier to let go of the things that you don't love. Also, when you're surrounded with the things you love, you'll feel joy and gratitude in your heart just like when you're with your family and friends.

  1. Divide and conquer your closet.

Classify the remaining items left on your closet. Is this top your favorite? Can this be worn for special occasions? Does this flatter my body type and compliments my skin type?

Create another pile for casual and everyday needs and take note of what’s missing. Doing so will guide you as you do your spring clothes shopping.

As for seasonal clothes, just place them at the far end of the closet but can still be seen for future use.

  1. Mix and match your clothes.

Now that you’ve got rid of all the unused and damaged items, you can already start mixing and matching the clothes. Creating endless outfits is easier now since all unused items were already discarded.

Separate your clothes into categories like season, type of item, style etc.

  1. Group everything together.

Just like the joy we feel when we're with our friends, clothes also want to be grouped together by category and by color. The technique is to arrange them in a gradient fashion, like from dark colors to light, and from heavy fabric to light, and from long to short starting from the left going to the right

Just imagine a line going up, and that's how you arrange your clothes. In this manner, this will help create a happy vibe for your closet.

Now that you already know how to spring clean your closet, organizing won't be easy. Plus, these tips can help keep your closet tidy all throughout the season.
